Expertise, Duties and Responsibilities:

– Engineer in charge in overseeing contractor’s works in all aspect of mechanical system in compliance with project tender documents (BOQ, Specification & IFC), standards, codes and regulations of Local and International authorities.

– Knowledgeable in reviewing and preparing of drawings for Qatar Civil Defense Department (QCDD) approval such as Fire Fighting System, Smoke Management System and Mechanical Ventilation in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

– Knowledgeable in HVAC system incorporating the parameters specified by the international and local authorities such as Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors Association (SMACNA), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Qatar Construction Standards (QCS), QCDD and NFPA.

– Knowledgeable in Plumbing system incorporating the parameters specified by the international and local authorities such as but not limited to IPC, Kahramaa, Ashghal, etc.

– Knowledgeable in preparation of project tender documents i.e. Bill of Quantity (BOQ), Specification and Issued for Construction drawing (IFC).

– Knowledgeable in reviewing contractors shop drawing, material submittals, calculation sheets, method of statements, site inspection request, clarification request, variation order and progress report in accordance with tender documents, local and international standards.

– Knowledgeable in HVAC system installation, operation and maintenance such as Air Handling Unit, Fan Coil Unit, Venturi Valve, Variable Air Volume damper, Split Unit, Normal Exhaust Fan, Emergency Exhaust Fan, Air Curtain, Ducting layout, Air balancing and Noise level measurement.

– Knowledgeable in Chilled water system installation, operation and maintenance such as Chiller, Cooling Tower, Primary Pumps, Secondary Pumps, Condenser Pumps, Piping layout and Water balancing.
