Title: Maintenance Technician – Plastics Factory in Doha, Qatar
We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our plastics factory in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery is operating at peak performance levels, minimizing downtime, and reducing production costs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on a wide variety of machines, including extruders, injection molding machines, and other plastics processing equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting components to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, minimizing downtime and production losses.
- Install new equipment and perform modifications on existing machinery as needed.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, air compressors, and other facility equipment.
- Work collaboratively with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment-related issues, ensuring optimal production levels are maintained.
- Complete work orders and other documentation related to maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics processing or related industries.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with welding, fabricating, and machining.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
