IT Operations Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Operations Analyst with a strong background in Banking-related systems, preferably with expertise in Misys products. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in system monitoring, incident reporting, and escalations, along with a solid understanding of disaster recovery and contingency planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Monitoring:

Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of banking systems, with a focus on Misys products.
Implement proactive monitoring solutions to identify potential issues and ensure optimal system functionality.
Incident Reporting and Escalation:

Promptly identify and report system incidents, abnormalities, and performance degradation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
Escalate critical issues to the appropriate levels of management and support teams.
Misys Product Expertise:

Demonstrate proficiency in Misys banking products, providing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and stakeholders.
Stay updated on the latest features, patches, and updates related to Misys products.
Disaster Recovery and Contingency Planning:

Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for banking systems, ensuring business continuity in the event of unforeseen incidents.
Conduct regular tests and drills to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery and contingency plans.
Collaborate with relevant teams to update and refine plans based on changing business and technology landscapes.
Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation related to system configurations, incident reports, and recovery plans.
Ensure that all operational processes and procedures are documented and kept up-to-date.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT operations within the banking sector, with a focus on Misys products.
Strong understanding of system monitoring tools and incident management processes.
In-depth knowledge of disaster recovery and contingency planning for critical systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Certifications in relevant IT and banking technologies will be an added advantage.
