Update the standard drawing for expansion loops and pipeline road crossing for flowlines, production header, test header and water injection lines of various size

Saudi Arabian Oil Company (SAUDI ARAMCO) intends to construct a 400 MBPD Grassroots Refinery and hydrocarbon terminal facility, in which the Northern Tank Farm provides storage for intermediate products, component, and product tankage.   RESPONSIBILITIES: To lead a team of piping and be responsible for all the technical decisions associated with engineering in achieving the design of Underground facilities, which includes hydrocarbon and aromatic drains, firewater, OWDS, DW. The closed drain facility includes 14 underground closed drain drums with buried and trench piping. Complete UG firewater network catering to fire hydrants, fire monitors, deluge skids, hose reels. Oily water Sewer from Dike catch basin, Pump-curb catch basin, Dewatering from the tanks and from other process entities. DW supply and return lines catering 88 safety showers and 8 buildings. The total line count accounts to 2000. On successful progress of UG, I was also advised to streamline the above ground layout for few other areas and the same was successfully handed over to newly inducted Engineers. VGO tanks, Fuel oil export facilities, Condensate area, and Utility distribution.

As a part Amin water injection development project, PDO has planned to install 24 numbers multiport selector valve in 22 RMS (remote manifold stations). This remotely operated MSV skid will have a provision for connecting to 7 flow lines from the wells and facilitate testing of one well at a time. My responsibility was to design a MSV skid, meeting the Client specification, especially for PE / ROTO-lining requirement. Project Name   : PARADIP REFINERY

Client, Location : IOCL, India

The scope includes EPC of IOCL Paradip refinery, including all related utility and offsite facilities and supporting infrastructure. Crude oil processing capacity is 15 million tons per annum (15MMTPA). RESPONSIBILITIES: To lead a team of piping and be responsible for all the technical decisions associated with engineering in achieving the design of main pipe rack & 27 battery limit platforms, A four tier pipe rack of 15m wide, 18m high with total a total run of 1.5 km and 500m of sleepers was designed to accommodate 64 process lines and 33 utility lines which includes HP & LP Flare, 5 steam lines ranging between 24” to 32”. It also includes design of flare condensate pot, steam traps, utility station, complex battery limit platforms, expansion loops & its support structures. Coordination with other contractor on tie-in related issues. The challenging part was to achieve the requirements of stress with various constraints in layout and feasible structural design in this highly congested rack.

Project Name   : PLUTO LNG

The scope includes detail engineering for Trunk line Onshore Terminal (Unit 1000), which receives the trunk-line raw feed in three phases and separate them under gravity. The unit ensures a steady gas flow to the LNG production facility under steady pressure at the pressure reducing station. The unit also consists of MEG pre-filter. The project was a modular fabrication.

RESPONSIBILITIES: To lead a team of piping and be responsible for all the technical decisions associated with engineering in achieving the design of piping in and around the equipment’s like Slug catcher, feed pre-heater, Pressure reducing station, MEG filters, MEG condensate drum, MEG pumps and its associated pipe sleepers & platforms. Unit – 1400 the responsibility includes remodeling of piping, isometrics extractions & back drafting, and interference checking.

 

Project Name   : NAPTHA HYDROTREATER   REFORMER UNIT

Client, Location : ENOC, UAE

The scope includes detail engineering for LPG fractionation unit. The purpose of this unit is to separate the LPG into off-gas, propane, butane, and a mixed LPG stream. The feed is collected in the surge drum, and then sent to de-ethaniser where ethane is extracted, and then the bottom stream of de-ethaniser is sent to the de-propaniser, where butane and propane are removed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Modeling of piping & equipment’s, the layout design includes piping in and around the equipment’s like LPG feed surge drums and Reflux Pumps, Feed exchangers, De-Ethaniser and De-Propaniser, it‘s associated Re-boilers, Reflux Drums & Reflux Pumps, Product coolers. The responsibility also includes vendor drawing checking, Civil IDR checking, isometrics extractions, back drafting, GAD extractions and drafting, and interference checking, filing of documents and to provide engineering support to Lead Engineer and Lead Designer for project execution.
