Electrical Engineer : Job Purpose
Reports to the Head of Maintenance and is responsible for maintaining all of station’s power distribution system.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
He is required to maintain complete Power Distribution System of the Site, Fire Alarm System, Air Conditioning System, Generators, UPS and etc.
Proficiency in use of computers /software for electrical Designs and Diagrams
Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards is preferred.
Support all other activities involved in building service systems such as all types of support to Broadcast Engineering
Design and implement changes, recommends modifications, upgrade of existing building facilities and maintaining full system documentation
Document and report all required feedback including; weekly unit performance, unit challenges and weaknesses, needs and requirements, reports requested by management, and escalate any issues that need management support
Coordinate with other sections, units for smooth daily operations
Create ongoing repair, maintenance programs, and equipment replacement programs
Provide emergency restoration procedures for electrical and mechanical facilities
Perform technical evaluation and recommendation on electrical / mechanical projects
Assess any technical issues reported to determine root cause and take swift action to fix and report them
Participate in the technical evaluation of received equipment and systems
Knowledge, skills, training and experience
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
At least 7-10 years experience in a 24/7 technical facility with progressively greater management responsibilities is required.
Candidates should be knowledgeable of building management systems
Sound practical and theoretical knowledge in UPS systems, ATS panels, and all types of Power distribution and lighting systems and all types of power distribution and lightings
Practical knowledge in fire alarm and fire fighting systems, security systems, CCTV systems and all other activities involved in Building Services systems
