The Procurement Assistant is responsible for the effective delivery of procurement services to the project. The Procurement Assistant promotes a collaborative, client-focused, quality and result oriented approach in the Procurement Unit.

Specific responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to;

• Assistance with the preparation of Request for Quotation, Initiations to Bid, Requests for Proposal and co-ordination of their timely dispatch

• Assist the Associate Procurement Officer in maintaining current up to date Procurement documents and

• Routing copying and circulation of quotes, bids and proposal for evaluation;

• Researching pricing obtaining quotes locally on low-value items;

•  Assist with the coordination with the selected bidder to ensure completion of administrative processes including Bid Security, contract award notice and that contract documents are distributed accordingly.

QUALIFICATION

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Procurement, Logistics Management or a relevant field is a distinct advantage

• 3 to 4 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement.

• At least 2-year experience with facility management or maintenance services,

• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications

•  fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Skills & Experience

Good knowledge and practice in the procurement process.
