§  Encompasses all the key elements of exploration cycle including basin to prospect evaluation, risking & ranking of prospects, volumetric estimation, preparation of technical reports/ presentations & Economic reviews.

§  Design, implement and to give oversight on geological/geophysical activities associated with active field development, reservoir surveillance and subsurface studies including opportunity recognition and generation to support well integrity, production sustainment and cost optimization.

§  Carried out technical due diligence, Prospectivity, Concession Management and geological risking of exploration blocks offered for Farm-in Opportunities.

§  Responsible for Petroleum System analysis, Play and Prospect generation/evaluation, Risk assessment, Reserve Estimation, and Project Economics evaluation in collaboration with the Economist.

§  Experience in creating a comprehensive Geoscience database including using of the Petrel software platform for smooth Geoscience support of Petroleum Engineering activities and integrate new geological/geophysical, Petrophysical and well surveillance data and also fully conversant of Geographix, EMS, PetroMod, Techlog & Arc GIS.

§  Plan and supervise the acquisition of logging operations and analyze/interpret Petrophysical/formation data. QA/QC Petrophysical data.

§  Analyze, interpret and integrate geologic data to establish and update geologic frameworks and models of oilfields, undertake geological studies of the reservoirs to optimize field development plans and review/interpret sub-surface data to generate drillable prospects and well proposals.

§  Provide relevant geological input to geophysicists for seismic data interpretation/evaluation. Petrophysical interpretation of Well logs & Wells correlations.

§  Supervise geological operations and various well data acquisitions (mud logging, logging, LWD). Develop and prepare post-drill Petrophysical reports.

§  Provide and put into practice the geologic descriptions to support surveillance studies.

§  Provide and produce geologic input to gas development programs such as well trajectory planning, optimization of well locations and acquiring well data for infill and appraisal wells. Additionally, carry out post-drilling Geoscience interpretation.

§  Pursue and promote Geoscience information and recommendations for multifunctional teams within subsurface to implement research studies and projects.

§  Team Member of PPEPCA working group for unconventional Shale Gas Data Acquisition to Promote Shale Gas Exploration in the Pakistan.

§  Assisted in preparation of Field Development Plan, QC of Operator & JV Blocks.

§  Work together on research and development with outside parties (shareholders R&D, vendors, etc.) to boost productivity, increase efficiency and reduce costs.

§  To support company high-performance culture, organize and take part in and provide knowledge-sharing events in areas of expertise both internally and/or externally at conferences & seminars.

§  TCM/Data Review sessions & Evaluation for JV, Operator and New Ventures.

§  Technical working papers, presentation & Technical bids of Blocks for BOD meetings.

§  Attended meetings with E&P/JV partners for making strategies for Exploration activities.

§  Assist Management in matters related to, and required under the provision of the Petroleum rules, policy and Petroleum Concession documents and Production Sharing Agreement in respect of exploration areas and preparation of economic models.

§  Monitoring of ongoing geological activities in operated and non-operated areas and perform analysis of geological data/reports data to determine the prospectivity of the area. ID Thermal maturity & Monitor JV Block drilling operations.

§  Planning, Designing, Preparation of Project Cycles and their relative financial implication

§  Business Development for Energy infrastructure, Proposals for foreign Direct Investments, management of Operations for Road Shows, Seminars & Conferences etc.

§  In-house Trainings for Professional’s and Develop and execute technical mentoring programs and activities for graduate trainees and less experienced staff.

§  Worked as Wellsite Geologist/Operation Geologist and mud logger in different JV Block’s Drilling operations having following responsibilities:-

 

1.   Attended every Pre-spud meeting at rig site with DSV, Tool Pusher and services companies to discuss HSE considerations, well objectives/targets, geological data acquisition program and anticipated sub-surface complications & HSE hazards, if any

2.   Analyzing, evaluating and describing formations while drilling.

3.   Prepare Daily Geological/Weekly Reports to record pertinent well data (drilling data, cuttings, Lithological description, formation evaluation log, HC shows, formation tops, cores, OH logs etc.).

4.   Monitor and supervise wireline logging and coring operations to ensure proper QC/QA of data being acquired for formation evaluation and reservoir characterization.

5.   Supervise mud logging operations at the rig site to ensure that the quality of acquired data is in accordance with approved Mud Logging Data Acquisition Program and with compliance of HSE guidelines.

6.   Evaluation of pay zone, Formation Pressure and overburden Pressure.

7.   Well logs correlation/Interpretation. Stratigraphic and structural correlation.

8.   Advising operations personnel on-site & assist in making of Geological Drilling Order.

9.   Monitor and record drilling activity & providing information about the Well status.

10.  Keeping detailed records, writing reports, completing daily, weekly and post-well reporting and sending these to the concerned departments

11.  Assist to perform complete, accurate and timely analysis of drilling fluid parameters and Real time monitoring of drilling activity onsite.

12.  Review of Geological Final Well Report & assist in Preparation of end well report.

13.  Prepare Final Wellsite Geological Report to record entire sequence of operations from well spud to rig release (i.e. drilling, mud logging, formation evaluation, wireline logging, coring, testing, completion etc.)

14.  Smoothly executed mud logging unit all specialized tests.
