Presently CCQ is operating their college at an Existing Schools which has been converted to Girls and Boys Colleges. CCQ appointed QDC to design the additional facilities at uncovered area in the same plots (Girls and Boys College).

 

Qatar Electricity & Water Company (Q.S.C.), a commercial tower in Lusail City, Qatar. The project covers the construction of a commercial twin tower of 40 floors and 20 floors spreading over a land area of 28,000 sq. and covering of a built-up area of 52.000 sq. m. Duties and Responsibilities

 

·         Carry out site risk assessment to ensure that an organization is complying with occupational health, safety, and environmental codes and regulations.

·         Organize regular meetings with relevant parties e.g. Contractors, construction team to update on safety matters and ensure coordination of HSE activities. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual HSE reports.

·         To attend site safety meetings with consultant and clients, coordinate with subcontractors regarding safety issues and conducting safety meetings for the improvement and implementations of site safety standards and company HSE policy.

·         Propose, review, implement practices and mitigation to ensure safer operation and compliance with the local HSE laws and regulations and environmental regulations.

·         Conduct safety audits on a regular basis, and perform site audits, inspections, investigations and all other safety activities and document and recommend and implement improvements e.g. preventive measures on identified gaps.

The scope of work of DCQ as Project Consultants covers the construction of Road A1, A6 and A10 – a total of 6.3 km. of highways with 2.9 km at grade and 3.7 km of depressed structures with service and slip roads on either side. Also, it includes the Southern Interchange, comprising of a West-North Flyover, North-South Highway, East-West Underpass and access ramps; a Marina Interchange comprising two bridges (1 for each carriageway), with junction at grade, a North – South Underpass and a 74 m high Structural Steel Feature Arch; and utilities, both wet and dry, buried along the highway that includes all services and road crossings. Duties Responsibilities:

 

·         Manage/Monitor environmental management systems and environmental risk/assessment of contractors and its operation.

·         Work hand in hand with the client and Project Management (Qatari Diar, Parsons, and QPM) to achieve the highest level of safety, health, and environment in the project site.

·         Ensure the projects are oblique regulatory standards in line with QCS 2014 and Qatar Work Zone Traffic Management Guide for bridges, highways, roads, and flyovers. Under Ashghal Project.

·         Ensure that the HSE management system is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with Qatar Laws and Regulations, Lusail Constructions HSE General Requirements, Overall Constructions Environmental Management Plan, and HSE international accepted standards.

·         Conduct periodic internal HSE audit and second party audit on the main contractor.

·         Prepare report whenever unsafe activities that deemed to be danger to site personnel and prepare NCR for non-conformance. Direct and guide employees based on general policies and management guidance and provide interpretation of compliance requirements.

·         Ensure that all reports regarding HSE performance are reviewed by top management and are used as guidelines for improvement of the HSE management system.

·         Conduct a daily inspection of the workplaces and submit reports to contractor for rectification/corrective action.

·         Review project documents such as the method statement, risk assessment, and job hazards analysis submitted by the contractors to give comments and recommendations.

·         Communicate to operation personnel and contractors about HSE issues and good safety practices.

·         Immediately notify the contractors of the non-compliance and hazardous condition in the workplace for proper action and rectification.

·         To discuss, report, and follow up all sorts of unsafe acts and conditions at sites.

·         Check adequacy of workmen welfare such as labor camp, canteen, rest-shelter and recreation facilities.

·         Ensure project scaffold meet required safety standards and regulatory compliance in jobs assigned.

BURGOS WIND FARM PHILLIPINES (POWER, ENERGY & SUBSTATION)

 

The Project involves the construction and operation of a 150 MW wind farm project in the province of Ilocos Norte, in the municipality of Burgos Philippines. The wind farm will cover an area of approximately 686 hectares across 3 barangays (Saoit, Poblacion and Nagsurot).  The Project built in 2 phases. The components of Phase 1 are (i) the installation of 29 wind turbine generators (WTGs) from Vestas with a generation capacity of 87 MW, (ii) the construction of a wind farm substation; and (iii) the construction of an approximately 42 km long transmission line while Phase 2 consist of the installation of an additional 21 WTGs from Vestas with a generation capacity of 63 MW. Constructions for both phases have commenced. The scope includes civil works, electrical, and mechanical installation of WTGS and drainage system.

 

Duties Responsibilities:

 

·         Help make recommendations on waste management and environmental issues and preventions.

·         Lead the team in the Monthly Audit for Health, Safety, and Environment and ensure the corrective actions are taken by contractors for all the issues found at project sites.

·         Issue a monthly man hour report to Client and Parsons Coordination for correlation.

·         Report unsafe acts or unsafe condition and report issues to RE as appropriate.

·         Maintain the action tracker to track closures and trends.

·         Maintain the NCR register and track the closure of NCR’s that are raised.

·         Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct health and safety inspection violations in the workplace.

·         Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety rules and regulations, hazardous conditions, and practices, and use of safety equipment.

·         Attend meetings with operation personnel to give safety updates on site conditions and issues.

·         Review contractor Health and Safety plans and comment upon as required.

·         Review method statements jointly with appropriate engineers and issue comments if required.

·         Attend or organize regular/irregular HSE meetings and pre-job safety meetings.

·         Verify and ensure all the operations at site are carried out in compliance with the approved mitigation and monitoring measures in the environmental impact assessment, which both contractor and project management have agreed to obey.

The turbine unit will consist of two cylinders, tandem-compound, two exhausts, condensing reheat turbine, forced lubricated designed for high operating efficiencies and maximum reliability, and a generator that is totally enclosed type, self-ventilated, cylindrical rotor type, and synchronous alternator. 735-MW coal-fired thermal power plant including rainwater and sewage pipe line, and roads.

·         Inspects equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure safety of workers engaged in construction and maintenance of overhead and underground power lines: Inspects safety belts, ladders, ropes, and tools and replaces those not meeting safety requirements.
