Calibration Engineer (Physical, Thermal, Electrical, Biomedical) Calibration Department (August 2015, – Present)

•  Apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physic and engineering to design and develop systems, equipment, and methods for calibrating dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, environmental, and electrical inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM & TE)
• Analyze and solve calibration problems using advanced mathematical and engineering knowledge
• Responsible with respect to the planning of calibration and evaluation of results;
• Responsible for reporting opinion and interpretation;
• Responsible with respect to method modification and development and validation of new methods;
• Prepares equipment purchase requisition with all the necessary details like calibration points, range other technical details etc. and submit to the Technical Manager for review;
• Responsible for identification, analysis, review and resumption of the non–conforming work;
• Reports immediately to the Technical Manager for non-conformity;
• Responsible for investigation of non–conformances for major / repeated type of non–conformities and arriving at the corrective action necessary to prevent its recurrence in their area of work;
• Responsible for ensuring proper accommodation, environment and safety in the calibration activities;
• Responsible to control the temperature and humidity at identified area as per the requirements of calibration etc.;
• Responsible for preparation of the Calibration methods with reference standards / DKD / EUROMET / BS / ASTM / Other International Standards as a working procedure for calibration, where required;
• In consultation with Technical Manager prepares list of Calibration methods to be followed during the calibration of identified parameters;
• Maintaining Biomedical equipment (establishing, adjusting, calibrating, testing)
• Conducting test; ensuring compliance to codes; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting and repairing; calling for special service; maintaining equipment inventories; completing test records; equipment sterilization;
• Responsible for performing and calculating measurement uncertainties of the identified calibration parameters;
• Responsible for reviewing and approval of the measurement uncertainties and ensuring that the uncertainty is within limit / claimed to accreditation authority;
• Responsible for proper intermediate checks on equipment as well as transportation, handling and storage of equipment / reference standards to maintain its validity;
• Performs extensive troubleshooting to find the root cause and rectify the problem;
• Responsible for preparation of calibration certificate / report based on observation sheet received from Technical Manager / Quality Manager;
• Aside from Quality Manager/QC Inspector, receives the observation sheet from the lab personnel / Calibration Technicians. Reviews those sheets and verifies that all the required parameters are reported in the observation sheet; Performs other works as directed by the Technical Manager;
