The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of materials, supplies, and equipment. The role ensures proper inventory control and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies.
Store items properly and ensure they are organized and easily accessible.
Issue materials and equipment as per approved requests.
Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
Monitor stock movements and report shortages or discrepancies.
Ensure proper labeling and identification of all stored items.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the store and warehouse.
Prepare inventory and stock reports as required.
Coordinate with procurement and other departments regarding stock requirements.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory systems.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
