Property Oryx is Qatar’s fastest growing real estate advertising platform. We have just launched a completely new and revolutionary business model that is much more fair and better value for money than competitor products. We aim to take over the entire Qatari market through offering a superior user experience whilst being a much more cost-effective advertising solution for real estate brokers.

Role & Responsibilities
As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for contacting real estate brokers and freelancers and introducing our paid advertising feature to them. Many of these people will be tired of using the existing overpriced platforms on the market and will be interested in a fairer alternative, which is exactly what our product is.

You will inform them about our platform’s strengths and our many unique selling points and encourage them to advertise on our platform, particularly using the Sponsored Listings feature. Whilst we do offer unlimited free listings, the primary aim of the Sales Associate is to sell top-ups for the Sponsored Listings feature.

You will contact brokers via WhatsApp, telephone, Zoom/Google meetings or face-to-face meetings. You are encouraged to contact the relevant decision maker (i.e. a Marketing Manager, CEO, etc) where possible for the most effective results.

You are expected to develop a very good understanding of how to use the Property Oryx platform and, in particular, our Agents Portal. During your meetings with brokers, they may ask you questions about how to use the platform, and you are expected to answer these.

You should also develop a very good understanding of competitor offerings and how Property Oryx’s Sponsored Listings feature is different and superior.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, goals-driven, reliable, a clear communicator, good at timekeeping, willing to learn and ask questions, always looking to improve their sales technique and skills, be a good team member, proactive, positive, hard-working, organised, committed and ambitious.

You will be expected to give a daily update to management regarding your progress. We expect a high level of communication and responsiveness from all our team members.

We expect you to let us know of any matters (whether personal or work related) that are affecting you and hindering you from making progress in your role.

You will be expected to update the company’s system with the summary of any meetings that have been had with brokers and you will be expected to relay to management.any feedback received from them.

Location & Hours
Whilst we do have a physical office, the majority of our employees work remotely. Many of our employees live abroad. This can mean there are time zone differences in when people will be available.

This means you will have some flexibility in the hours or days that you work. However, you will need to bear in mind that your job is to contact brokers in Qatar who usually work during Qatari business hours.

Salary & Pay
This role will initially be purely commission based.

You will receive commission for every top-up you sell to a broker. If it is the broker’s first top-up, you will receive 50% commission. If it is not their first top up then you will receive 33% commission.

Commission will be payable when the broker has had enough sponsored charges to cover the commission that we will be paying.

Commission will be paid at the end of each month.

Payments will be made to your bank account in Qatar. If you need the payment to be made to a bank account abroad then you will be required to cover the transfer fees.

There may be scope to convert the role to a full-time salaried position with additional responsibilities based on performance and mutual agreement.

Subsidised expenses
We will subsidise some of the expenses you may incur in the performance of your role.

Travelling expenses to meetings with brokers are subsidised where the meeting has been pre-approved by your line manager. We will subsidise 50% of the cost of travel to all pre-approved meetings, and 100% of the cost of travel to all meetings which resulted in a sale.

If you have a car and wish to use that for meetings then the travel costs will be calculated as 0.50 QAR per km travelled.

If you wish to use public transport, Uber, Karwa or a similar service then the travel costs will be calculated as the amount you paid.

We will provide 1 mobile phone recharge per month, if Vodafone then 50 QAR flex, if Ooredoo then 60 QAR hala credit. We can consider increasing this if your performance justifies it.

What you will need
It is expected that you will already have a mobile phone to contact brokers, a laptop or computer (optional, but very highly recommended), a telephone number on which you can set up a WhatsApp Business account and a suitable working environment.

Your WhatsApp Business account will need to be set up professionally with Property Oryx branding according to our company standards.

We will provide you with a company email account, a Google Meet account, business cards in your name (once we are happy with your performance) and access to use our office if you need a quiet place to work.

Support offered
We will offer support for you in your role. We will provide some initial training on our platform and in-depth reading material about the Sponsored Listings feature to help you sell the product.

You will be given a list of current brokers who are posting on our site that we want you to contact initially and you are expected to start with these brokers.

We can provide statistics for each broker (where applicable) for you to share with them (if required) to help you sell Sponsored Listings, as well as statistics about our website’s performance in general, such as top locations etc.

You will also be added to a company group chat where you can ask any questions and receive support.
