Total Plot Area is 129,000 m² and Total Built Up Area 67,727 m². The project is to construct, develop, and operate a 5-star luxury island resort.

The resort consists of stand-alone, self-sufficient glamorous and lavish villas dotted along the island’s entire perimeter to provide visitors with a scenic view of the sea.

Lekhwiya Sports Stadium “Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium” (2012– 2013)

Position: Electrical Site Engineer

– Perkins Eastman and ECG were awarded the Design and Construction Supervision consultancy services for Lekhwiya Sport Stadium.

The overall project includes two phases, Phase (1) comprises a Soccer Stadium, with a built-up area of 6,863 m2 and concourse area of 720 m2, four training soccer fields and the related facilities. Phase (2) comprises a multifunctional arena, 75 key hotel and the related facilities.

The stadium will have a capacity of 10,000 seats spread over a seating area of 6,005 m2.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Ensuring that electrical construction activities (i.e. installation, loop checks, completions and pre-commissioning of the Electric works) are carried out by Contractors in accordance with approved Procedures, Specifications, Method Statements, Project Specifications, Project Procedures and relevant Codes & Standards.

·  Reviewing submittals such as material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, ITP and other required documents.

·   Performing inspection and supervision of the electrical installation and testing activities carried out on the Construction sites and/or Contractor’s workshops in accordance with approved Contractors ITP inspection points and related notifications.

·   Experience in executing all ELV systems such as FAS, ACS, BMS, PA, SMATV, IPTV, CCTV & Lighting control system etc.

·   Ensuring that the work is completed in accordance with the specified Quality Management and Control system and in a safe manner.

·  Closely monitor site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, good construction practice, only approved materials are used, compliance with the approved shop drawings, make sure that all materials used comply with the approved Material Approval Request.

·  Responsible for the preparation of Weekly Accomplishment Report and Monthly Progress Report.

·   Prepares and review Electrical Layout plans such as Single Line Diagram, Low Voltage Switchgear, Sub Distribution Panel, Lighting, Power Panel board, Emergency System and ELV Systems such as Fire Alarm System, CCTV, Public Address System, Security System, Telephone System and LAN, WAN, VLAN Networking (Data) System.

·   Responsible for the preparation of Weekly Accomplishment Report and Monthly Progress Billing.

·   Review, estimate and interpret plans prior to construction.

·   Equipment and manpower planning.

·   Attending site technical and progress meeting.

·   Overall in charge for electrical site supervision.

·   Conduct Safety Training/Awareness as per OSHA Standard to all workers.

·   Ensuring the construction plans are executed correctly and all health and safety rules are adhered to on site.
