Senior Environment Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environment Engineer to support major projects in Qatar. The role is responsible for implementing and overseeing environmental management activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring full compliance with Qatar regulatory requirements (MIC, MOECC) and company environmental standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in environmental risk management, contractor oversight, compliance monitoring, and promoting environmental sustainability across project sites.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Qatar environmental regulations, company standards, and project-specific requirements
Monitor EPCC contractor activities and enforce environmental controls
Conduct environmental inspections and monitoring (air, water, noise, soil)
Identify environmental risks related to industrial operations (e.g., ammonia/urea production) and implement mitigation measures
Review and comment on contractor HSE and environmental procedures
Support the Project HSE Manager during audits, safety walks, and inspections
Prepare environmental reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management and authorities
Support environmental permitting processes and ensure compliance with permit conditions
Participate in engineering and risk review activities including QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, and EIA

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental discipline (mandatory)
Professional Environmental / HSE certification (preferred)
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
At least 3–5 years working on major projects, preferably in Qatar or GCC
Strong knowledge of MIC, MOECC, and Qatar environmental regulations
