Manager Material Optimization & Warranty – Supply Chain Management

September 2016 until present day.

Managing team of seven (7) staff members.

Implementing the following job responsibilities;

Procurement:

·         Responsible to source & deliver supply chain activities to support business objectives (like planning, forecasting, analysing the demand patterns of more than 1500 parts in assigned category).

·         RFQ, select best quote, create Purchase orders (PO), upon approval of PO (as per DoA) release the PO to supplier, follow-up until spare parts are delivered as per agreed lead time.

·         Upon receipt of spare parts, ensure they clear QA inspection (& if any parts are quarantined, then take necessary action to clear them) to reach respective binning area.

·         Maintain in-house relationships within the group to improve controls.

·         Manage timely purchase of all stock items, ensuring that there are no out of stock or overstock situations.

·         Manage timely repair of components, GSE equipments & tools by monitoring the turn-around-time (TAT).

·         Timely review the non-moving spares/tools/equipment’s & obsolete parts within inventory.

Supplier Management:

·         Maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost and quality targets are met.

·         Conduct formal negotiations with suppliers to achieve fair and reasonable pricing, lead time & services.

·         Resolve supplier, performance, delivery, quality and payment related issues.

Financial:

·         Timely clearance of Invoices/bills to ensure uninterrupted operations, better Supplier relationship & to reflect good image of our organization in the market.

Management & Leadership:

·         Provide training, mentoring & skill development to local staff.

·         Track & deliver cost savings initiatives across the business.

·         Highlight procurement issues & staff performance based on established KPI’s to our leadership.

·         Training & Orientation of existing staff: provide appropriate orientation to the team addressing their concerns, providing information, technology and reference materials necessary to perform their duties. Impart regular in-house training programs.

Contracts & Tender (Technical department)

·         Process all International & Local Tech. Contracts, SGHA’s for all existing QR destinations.

·         Monitor to renew or amend the Contracts on timely basis & process yearly price escalations.

·         Initiate new tenders/RFP for Aircrafts undergoing C-Checks/painting/special checks/procurement of spares (related to Technical department) through Contract Management System (CMS)

Insurance claims (Hull / Aircraft Incidents & Spares lost/damaged in transit).

·         Liaise with concern dept to obtain information on any irregularity/Incident report.

·         Liaise with different departments to collect data/relevant vouchers to authenticate the cost of the incident (like:-Air fare, Per Diem, Mobile usage, Outstation/handling charges & Ferry flight charges).

·         Address queries, if any, from Insurers after submission of Insurance Claims & maintain records.

Sr. Material Buying Assistant – Supply Chain

·         Generate orders to replenish inventory, co-ordinate with respective business groups to maintain operational smoothness.

·         Follow up with OEMs/Vendors and obtain order confirmation or commitment to ensure on time delivery.

·         Receive Aircraft Materials Requisitions (AMR) from business groups and verify – Part Number, Description, Specifications, Quantity and OEM/Vendor, etc.

·         Check the price catalogues/quotes from other approved sources and negotiate to optimize the best price, minimum delivery lead time on purchase, repair, loan or exchange basis.
